The goal of high performance in single-handed offshore racing
An sporting test like no other
La Solitaire du Figaro is1800 miles of solo ocean racing around some of Europe's most challenging waters.
There are longer races in sailing than La Solitaire, there are boats that are more technologically advanced than the Figaro 3 but it takes the clinical, highly scientific, and intense of sprint racing that normally you only must keep up for an hour and forces each sailor to keep this level going for 3 weeks.
As the La and du in the name of this race indicate it, it is a very French race, which nonetheless attracts international participation and following from UK, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, the USA and New Zealand
